Hi! I'm Sedef Betül Gül and I’m an industrial designer with a minor degree in business administration. BA integrates with my designer identity and makes a great contribution to my execution of the projects. It gives me a new perspective on how to think about design operations and implementation, such as product sales, market sustainability or the communication with the target audience. I can especially use my business knowledge to reach to the right target audience in the right ways and empathize with them.

Obviously, I’m a designer who is interested with the intersection of "design" and "technology" and closely follows the development of new technologies. The combination of “design” and “technology” means “the key point to the design” to me and this key point also guides me on how to make my designs; timeless and futuristic. While doing so, it all focuses on the UX & UI. 

 

I am using 'functionality' and 'simplicity' guidelines as references while designing and I am trying to create humanist designs with these guides. As much as I interested in the physical design of products, I also pay close attention to the pre-design research. It is an important process to me because I believe that making the right and appropriate design decisions with sufficient and correct knowledge is much more important than the design itself.

 

Apart from my designer identity, I could describe myself as a beginner photographer which gives me an aesthetic perception, an old theater player which improves my empathy and communication skills and a beginner painter which gives me an artist-eye.
